Omar Chedda
Omar Chedda is a Certified Public-Private Partnership Professional (CP3P) and an investment specialist working at the intersection of public-private partnerships, health and wellness investment, and national economic policy. With more than 20 years of experience across Jamaica’s public and private sectors, he brings a combination of deal-structuring expertise, policy acumen, and on-the-ground project implementation experience.
Omar has supported Bambu Fund LLC investment initiatives since 2022, through the design of health and wellness sector opportunities in Jamaica. He led the development of Jamaica’s medical tourism and wellness strategic framework — a body of work that provides a structured pathway for attracting international healthcare and wellness investment to the island. Alongside this, he has advanced investment policy reforms aimed at reducing friction for foreign and domestic investors and creating new commercial opportunities in the Jamaican market.
Omar holds a Master of Science in International Business from The University of the West Indies, Mona, and a Bachelor of Science in this field. His interest in the economics of technology and growth led him to become a member of the Caribbean Circle for Economics of Innovation (CCEI), a regional network that advocates for innovation-led development across the Caribbean.
He also serves his community as a Justice of the Peace.
