Kendra Plummer, M.B.A.

Kendra Plummer is a trailblazing hotel investor and entrepreneur dedicated to unlocking access to generational wealth through hotel ownership. Kendra’s career began in hotel operations, where she quickly rose through the ranks across hotel management, asset management, feasibility, and acquisitions & development. She served as Director of Acquisitions and Development, underwriting over $1B in hotel transactions. Kendra became an advisor for Bambu Fund LLC in 2025.

As the Founder & CEO of Elise Capital, she has spearheaded the firm’s rapid growth, overseeing a portfolio exceeding $30M in assets under management (AUM) and pioneering an advisory platform that is ushering in a new era of diverse hotel ownership.

She holds an MBA from the University of Miami as an Emery Means Findley, Jr. Fellow and a Bachelor of Science in Tourism & Hospitality Management from Temple University. Recognized as an industry innovator, Kendra has earned prestigious accolades, including Temple University’s 30 Under 30 honor, the Lori Raleigh Award for Emerging Excellence from the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (2022), and the Outstanding Hotelier of the Year award from the National Association of Black Hotel Owners (2023). Her expertise and leadership have been featured in Hospitality Design, Hotel Business, and Lodging Magazine. Beyond her business success, she is a passionate advocate for underrepresented communities, serving on multiple industry boards and committees.
